Re: First homing: horrible grinding sounds

OK, I think I solved it. The spring side of the red pin wasn't super springy so the contact was not consistent. I pulled it out, bent it out a bit and now it's good. It's now taking its time doing the first probe... I'll post again if I get a first print :) Thanks for all the help! The exact same t...

Re: First homing: horrible grinding sounds

Looking around for pressure advance, looks like a duet setting... I'll look into it. I've tried 3.5-12mm retraction, stuck to 6.5 25-60mm/s retraction speed, right now it's at 25 since that's what the profile has. I upped the travel speed from 100 to 400mm/s and that seemed to do the most at reduci...

Re: Sad day guys - Eaglezsoar has left us

I haven't come to the forums for months, and now that I did, I found out about this sad news. I never met Carl in person, but I felt like he was an old friend, always writing something encouraging. If I didn't know the topic, just by reading his opinion (because he ALWAYS answer all posts), I could ...

Re: man sized

@Bubbasnow, this super big ass printer is plainly AWESOME!

How much do you say that you expend on this beauty? rough estimate, of course.

I want to build as big as yours, but before embarking I would like to know costs :-)

Thanks!

This is awesome! I'm glad to see someone else building a big delta. It makes me feel better about my own project. I have a running forum over on the Delta Robot 3D Printers Google group discussing the big delta that I'm building if you're interested in taking a look. https://groups.google.com/forum...

Re: Akemake Spirula Speakers

I'm not sure why the STL's are super secretive. They were available for free before the website went down. Actually, there were two versions, one free an the second you have to paid for it. In any case, these files were available to download, under their licence, and it didn't allow to re-distribut...

Re: Easy "Manual" ZProbe Calibration

Agreed. Thanks for posting this. I had missed this thread until yesterday, but I was able to calibrate my printer much better using this method. Any chance we can get this thread pinned? You are welcome! Try by entering all the towers values at once in the EEPROM, that makes the process even easier...

Re: Easy "Manual" ZProbe Calibration

I found this on the repetier site, which seems to be exactly what you're describing, but easier? I haven't tried it, but it sounds like it accomplishes the same goal - use a stick to get all the motors to the exact same height, then the firmware figures out the offsets. http://www.repetier.com/docu...

Re: Easy "Manual" ZProbe Calibration

Here is my most recent version of the excel I am using. It would be easier to create it as a program, webpage, or even better, an app, that would ask only for the offset values of each tower ... but I guess I am too lazy for that (if you do it, please, let me know!) :-) By the way, I have been able ...

Re: Easy "Manual" ZProbe Calibration

Hi everyone. After many unsuccessful hours trying to calibrate X, Y, and Z tower using the end-stop screws, I decided to try the calibration using only the EEPROM. As teoman and some other users mentioned, it seems that I cannot use negative values for the Tower X, Y, Z endstop offset (it´s as if i...
